About Honeysuckle Oil

Honeysuckle absolute is produced by gently extracting the fresh blossoms of Lonicera japonica, since the flowers collapse under the heat of a still and yield no meaningful essential oil. Extraction preserves the nectar-sweet aromatics that distillation would destroy, and it takes an enormous harvest of blooms to make each bottle. Some honeysuckle oils on the market are infusions or blends built on a carrier, so read labels closely wherever you shop.

The aroma is lush, nectarous, and green-floral, sweet like the living vine with a soft jasmine-adjacent warmth. As a heart note it flatters citrus, neroli, ylang, and light woods, and a trace amount can perfume an entire blend.
